He licked his lips slowly as he tried to find the words he could say to her. Unfortunately most days he wasn’t very good with words. It really was a problem. Smiling softly as she leaned into his fingers he just titled his head, “We would both know if it wasn’t a good thing, Bud.” He explained lightly and he knew she would understand. His less then sane mind wasn’t a hidden problem of his but more of a loud announcement. “I hope having some of this will make your time on the sea better for you,” left his lips truthfully as he moved his brushing fingers from her jaw to push a strand of hair behind her ear. If the captain knew he was enjoying his little fairy so much he was certain that she would be taken from him.
The very thought made his inner anger squirm with the thought of carnage. It was dangerous territory to allow his mind to think of what he would do to keep the fragile girl in his arms exactly where she was.
Rose knew he was right, She would have figured out already if it was bad. A smile took over her lips as he continued. “I am thankful for them. I have been missing my garden. It will be nice to be needed again.” she breathed shifting a bit on her feet. “Thank you, Skylights. I really do appreciate you doing this for me.” she offered after a small silence. Her words were sincere and she was honestly ecstatic that he had brought her plants. It made the life she was now stuck in seem less hopeless and deary.
Skylights didn’t hesitate to take advantage of her lips parting as he decided to memorize her taste. She was sweet with a hint of spice and he couldn’t help but find it appropriate. Part of him knew he should stop them, if only so they could at least breathe properly. Instead he waited and slid a hand downwards to raise her skirt slightly just so he could feel the soft skin of her thighs. He knew he couldn’t take her in that moment, it just wasn’t the right time. Taking his slow time tasting and mapping her mouth he final began to pull away. Agonizingly slow he moved his hand up to rest on the small of her back once more before pulling his lips away reluctantly.
Quietly he opened his eyes while trying to catch his breath and simply looked at her face. “You are.. something, Love.” The words left his lips roughly as he reigned in his want to through her on his bed and just take all he could from her simply because he was afraid it wouldn’t be enough. Some days he just couldn’t trust his own mind. He couldn’t stop a hand from raising and gently tracing her jaw.
Rose felt her lungs protest the lack of air they were getting as they kissed. But for the moment she had no interest in giving in to them. She allowed him to explore her mouth as her hands kneaded against his shoulders. She felt a shiver go up her spine when his hand moved to her thigh. The warmth of his hand making the skin under it buzz a bit. Her eyes fluttered open as she felt him start to slowly pull out of the kiss. Her body protested wanting the connection of their lips to continue. But her mind knew this was for the best. She might have been ready and comfortable for the closeness they had just shared. But what was likely to happen if they didn’t stop. She wasn’t at all sure she was ready for such intimacy with him.
Her teeth tugged at her lips as he spoke, she blushed a bit as she looked up at him. feeling a sort of giddy need to hide herself. Her chin tilted in to the feeling of his fingers while she smiled. “I hope that is a good something…” she breathed quietly. Taking a deep breathed she let it out slowly as she calmed her body’d new curiosity for the man she was currently pressed in to.
Slowly he moved his hand from the side of her face to the back of her neck, letting his fingers tangle in her hair for a moment. Keeping in mind that he didn’t want to man handle her, she was a delicate flower after all. Not just some random whore, he had plenty of those. Pressing his lips against hers he nibbled on her bottom lip gently before running his tongue over the area. There wasn’t a single once of hurry in his limbs and instead he wanted to savor it. Savor the feel of her against him as he moved his hands to the small of her back so whatever air was between them was non existent as he moved her towards him.
Rose didn’t let herself over think what was happening. She knew that if she did she would stop it. Because it was probably not a good idea to got to this level with your captor. He was still a Pirate… affiliated with the others that held her loved ones captive as well. But… even with all that it didn’t feel wrong to let him pull her closer, or to part her lips slightly as she smoothed her hands up his chest. Letting them settled their she pressed her smaller body in to his. Relishing in the warmth that seeped in to her from his body.
He could only smile for a moment as he watched her face. The small lengthening of her lips as she seemed to smile just a bit wider was not lost on him. It wasn’t as if he had memorized her normal facial expressions. That wasn’t exactly the point. Skylights couldn’t help but notice that she wasn’t pulling away. So many days ago should have rather bitten his hand then let him touch her and yet, there she was with that little smile. Taking an inward breath he leaned towards her slowly before gently bringing his lips to the edge of her mouth that his hand didn’t rest near. It gave her a chance to pull away or even possibly stab him. If he were honest he would definitely think a knife to the stomach would be worth the taste of her lips.
Rose stayed put as Skylights leaned forward. Her head tilted a bit as he brought his lips to the edge of her mouth. The fairy didn’t resit or slap him like she would have just a few months ago. No, she welcomed it, turning her head so that their lips met completely. Lifting her hands, she gripped the material of his shirt near his waist. Stepping a bit closer she put a bit more firmness in to the kiss as the grip on his shirt tightened a bit.
"Well Darling," he began slowly as he moved closer to her closing the gap between them but still allowing her a little space for comfort. "If we are being honest here, I have to say I enjoy how it looks on your face," gently he reached for her face moving his thumb softly against the edge of her mouth. "I just happen to like the look on you, Rose." Her name finally left his lips and he couldn’t remember if he had ever used it before. So many times before Skylights had used various pet names. Little names that kept him from using her given one and made it easier to kill her if he needed. Well, why kill her when there were so many he could kill.
Rose didn’t move away when he closed the distance between them a bit more. The sent of salt water and warmth swirled around her as he did. It was a smell she had become very familiar with over her time her. And if she was willing to admit it. Once she had grown to like. Her breath caught a bit when his fingers moved to brush against the corner of her mouth. Which only made her smile more. She did her best to be unaffected.. but for some reason her brain flashed to the kiss they had shard. And against her best judgments she slightly hoped that she would get to experience another. “well that isn’t a horrible reason…” she offered in a quiet voice as she stared up at him.
Tilting his head slightly he watched as her fingers gently stroked the soft leaves of the plants. Yes, he knew they were soft because he distinctly recalled the fern firmly planting a stem straight in his face. It truly had been so lovely. A slow wolfish smirk pulled at his lips as she mentioned spoiling her and face him. Raising his brows as if he was going for innocence he reached for a soft petal and gently ran his fingers over it. “Perhaps I am. I did promise that I would try to get a smile on your face more often,” he began lightly as he walked a step towards her. “Not as if I should hide it.”
Nodding her head, Rose shifted a bit in her spot as she watched him. “I still don’t know why you want smiles so much.” she breathed chewing at her lip a bit. She glanced up at him through her lashes as he stepped closer. “But whatever the reason, you’re doing well.” she offered as a small smile slipped on to her lips. Long gone were the days she cowered from his presence. No she wasn’t afraid of him anymore… and she didn’t even really dislike him these days. If she was really being honest she may even be able to admit that she was kind of found of him. The though made a light chuckle slip past her lips as she shook her head. What was the world coming to.
Watched for her reaction and he certainly wasn’t disappointed. There wasn’t a time Skylights could remember her ever having the same look on her face. That strange sort of joy and excitement that he didn’t often see anywhere. More important then just the emotion itself was the simple fact that he was the reason she was reacting that way. Almost like he was winning their little game. Definitely something he could accept.Everything was slowly falling into place right until he felt her arms wrap around him with a sound of delight. Breathing in her scent once more he remembered the soft smell of flowers and the soft feel of her lips. All he gave her was a light squeeze back and a smile. “Of course you do. After I believe it is you who said I should know what you like by now.” As he spoke he shook away the enjoyment he took from his arms.
Pulled away from him as he spoke. “I did..” she breathed happily as she moved to look at the plants. Her fingers brushed gently against the fern near her. She could feel the pants stretch in to her touch. A content smile toyed on her lips as she moved around to inspect the plants that were for her. The little buds on one slowly spread open as she touched them. She did her best to contain herself. Knowing that if she used her magic too much it would weaken her. “I think you’re trying to spoil me..” she stated turning so that she was facing him.
Quietly he tried not to focus on how the sound of her voice made his heart skip ever so slightly. It didn’t exactly fit with his standard character. Who would have thought that a pretty little fairy would be able to make him all a flutter. Him, Skylights of the Jolly Roger enjoying the sound of a voice like it was something more than just a sigh. Life never ceased to humor him. “Love, if I told you it wouldn’t be a very good surprise.” His tone stayed gentle as he reached his hand outward and pulled back the curtain he always had around her little nook. As the material moved away it revealed the plethora of plants he had spent all day slowly getting without her notice. Some tall and fern like and others had gentle little buds growing from their stems. “Here you are,” his gesture was grand as he moved aside so she could see what he had done.
With a light wrinkle of her nose she rolled her eyes at him as he spoke. Though her eyes widened a bit as the curtain was pulled away to reveal her surprise. Rose felt her whole body tingle with excitement. To anyone else a display like this would seem like a lack luster surprise. But for the flower fairy it was like having a slice of home brought to her. She looked over the various sizes of plants. Her lips easily slipping in to a smile. Not able to contain her glee much more she let out a little squeal of delight before she tossed herself at him for a hug. “Thank you!” she breathed excitedly as she squeezed him. “I love them..” she added as she released him from her hold.
Smiled softly as he moved the door to his cabin open all the way. He wasn’t going to lie and say he didn’t enjoy the small shadow of a smile on her face. Matter of fact he really did enjoy it. Made up for the fact that he had spent more than half of his day side stepping the worthless and hunting down just the right little things. Wasn’t easy carrying around plants and still being able to part crowds like they were the sea. Took talent really. “Oh little, Rose. I think this one will be my best yet,” moved from his lips in a strange purr as he walked so he could look towards her. He had to make sure he didn’t draw too much attention to the current that kept her little corner away from his.
Rose raised an eye brow as Skylights spoke. She would be lying if she said she wasn’t curious what the surprise he had for her was. Recently they had been walking on common ground. She wasn’t ready to praise him for being mr. wonderful. But she didn’t detest him as much as she had when she had first been taken on to the ship. Staying quiet as she usually did, she shifted in her spot. Letting her feet touch the ground as she stood from her seat in her nook. Tilting her head a bit as she watched him. “What is it?” she asked in a quiet tone. Her brown eyes moved back to settle don his.
